Suraya will welcome Marc Hochar, co-owner of Chateau Musar in the Bekaa Valley. Marc’s grandfather, Gaston, started the vineyard in 1930, with many of the vines remaining from the original planting (some are 90 year old, pre-phylloxera, vines!). Marc, and his brother Gaston, now run Chateau Musar, carrying a Lebanese tradition beginning 6,000 years ago with the Phoenicians in the high altitudes of the Bekaa Valley. Marc will be in Philadelphia, joining Chef/Owner of Suraya Nick Kennedy, to provide a four-course tasting menu paired with vintage Musar wines.
